The Band
PowerTrip is:
Scott Pharr/Vocals
Scott is one of the most distinctive vocalists currently on the Atlanta scene. His vocal range allows him to cover a wide spectrum of artists, and he is one of the most rapidly emerging talents around today. Scott has performed in a variety of venues, including the most pressure-packed for any singer – the national anthem before a baseball game.
Mark Roberts/Guitar and Vocals
Mark is a seasoned musician who spent a number of years playing professionally, including a long and successful tenure in Pulse, one of the most popular groups in the greater Memphis area during its heyday. He has also played with a number of other groups in both the Atlanta and Memphis areas, and his standout lead guitar work is a key element in PowerTrip’s sound. In addition to being a gifted guitarist, Mark is also a vocalist.
Tim Baxter/Bass and Vocals
Tim has played with a number of popular Atlanta-area bands, most recently with Slider, which enjoyed a successful career and played in regular rotation at some of the premier clubs in the Atlanta area. Tim has also played with Rock/Pop/Country/R&B group "My Brothers' Band" from 96-01. Tim is a very accomplished bassist who brings a wealth of experience to the band. He also provides backup vocals.
Rob Woodyard/Guitar
Rob has been playing guitar for over 20 years. Heavily influenced by the power-chording of Pete Townshend, along with the rhythm/lead style of Keith Richards, Rob has had a lifelong love of rock music since hearing “It’s Only Rock & Roll” on a jukebox at the age of seven. He was a founding member of the underground band The h*t Express in the 1980s(but don't hold it against him).
Mike Barnes/Drums
Mike is a powerhouse drummer with a wide range of musical training and experience. A veteran of the CorpsVets drum corps, he has displayed his considerable talents in national competitions up and down the East coast. He was also an original member of the legendary underground group The h*t Express. Mike prefers to think of his drums as not just instruments, but also weapons.
